Your pets, wherever you go.

Send us a photo of each pet - one to four - and you get a portrait that actually looks like them - their markings, their expression, the exact set of their ears. Not a generic cartoon of their breed.

That likeness comes from two people rather than a machine. A real artist hand-draws the portrait, then hand-digitizes it, mapping the direction, density and layering of every stitch. Software can do that step automatically, and that is why so much pet embroidery comes out flat.

Open it up and the difference is inside. On most embroidered totes the back of the stitching sits exposed against your things. Ours is lined in striped cotton - sky blue in the navy bag, beige in the sandstone - with the zippered pocket built in directly behind the portrait, so the reverse of the embroidery stays covered.

We come from textile manufacturing, so this bag is ours: the canvas, the pattern, the boxed base, the pockets. We remade it again and again before we sold a single one, until there was nothing left we wanted to change. It is also why we can tell you it is 18 oz and exactly where the seams are doubled.

What makes it different

  • 30,000 to 60,000+ stitches - one pet or four, and the count climbs with every pet you add
  • Hand-drawn, then hand-digitized - a person maps every stitch, never auto-digitizing software
  • Up to 15 thread shades per pet - our machine carries 15 needles, so the full palette runs in one pass. Fewer needles means a simpler palette, and a simpler palette is what makes a portrait look flat
  • Real embroidery, never printed, not a patch - you can feel every stitch with your thumb
  • 18 oz waterproof canvas - genuinely heavyweight, built in-house
  • Double-stitched seams, 6 inch boxed base - stands up on its own and keeps its shape loaded
  • The zippered pocket sits behind the portrait - the back of the embroidery stays covered
  • Ships in 1 to 2 weeks - not the 3 to 4 weeks other sellers quote
  • Made to order in Austin, Texas

Send us a clear photo of each pet

A well-lit, front-facing photo taken at your pet’s eye level works best. Separate photos are fine - they do not need to be photographed together.

The upload box takes six photos. If you have more than six to send, upload your best six here and email the rest to info@barkndwell.com with your order number.

One pet or four?

Pick your pet count above - every pet is hand-drawn separately and gets their own thread palette. The price steps with each one.

  • 30,000-60,000+ Stitches

Every design digitized from scratch, so the count is never the same twice

  • Ships in 1-2 Weeks

Not 3-4 weeks like other sellers

  • True to Life Portrait

    Hand-drawn, then hand-digitized by a person. Never auto-digitizing software.

How to Order

1. Select your size and color and place your order

2. Upload your pet's clear photo - face forward, well lit, no accessories

3. Processing: 7-14 business days

4. Delivery: 3-5 business days after your order ships

Care & Maintenance

  • For everyday marks, spot clean with cold water and a soft cloth. When it needs more than that, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out, with no bleach and no fabric softener. Hang or air dry - heat shortens the life of the waterproof finish. Do not tumble dry, do not dry clean, and do not iron directly over the embroidery.

Shipping & Return

Cancellations:
Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund. After 24 hours, if digitizing has already begun, a $25 digitizing fee will be deducted from your refund to cover the artist's time. Please note that digitizing your pet's portrait into a stitch design takes several hours of skilled work - and once approved, our artisan then hand-selects the right thread colors from a palette of 100+ before the embroidery begins, which takes a few additional hours. Every piece is truly made with care from start to finish.

Returns & Exchanges:
Because every piece is custom made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges. Please make sure to measure yourself and refer to our size chart before placing your order - we want your piece to fit perfectly! If your order arrives with an error on our part, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving it with clear photos and we will make it right.

Revisions:
We want you to love your piece. If something isn't right, reach out and we will work with you until it is.
